Child Safety Standards

How Zoe Community prohibits, responds to, and reports child sexual abuse and exploitation.

Last updated 2026-09-20 · Version 1.0

Our Commitment

Quabynah Codelabs LLC ("Zoe", "we", "our", or "us") operates Zoe Community ("the App"), a platform that connects churches and their members. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation ("CSAE") and for child sexual abuse material ("CSAM") anywhere on the App.

These standards apply to every community on Zoe Community and to every surface of the App — public feeds, community channels, groups, prayer, and direct messages. Individual communities set their own guidelines for their members, but no community can opt out of these standards. Child safety is handled by Quabynah Codelabs LLC directly, not delegated to church leadership.

What Is Prohibited

The following are prohibited on Zoe Community, and we will act on them wherever we find them:

  • Child sexual abuse material. Any visual depiction — photograph, video, drawing, or computer-generated image — of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct, and any link to such material.
  • Grooming. Building a relationship with a child in order to sexually exploit or abuse them, including through private messages, prayer requests, or pastoral-care conversations.
  • Sextortion. Threatening to release a child's intimate images or information in order to obtain further images, money, or any other benefit.
  • Trafficking. Advertising, recruiting, or arranging the sexual exploitation of a child.
  • Sexualisation of minors. Sexual commentary about a child, requests for sexual imagery from a child, or presenting a child in a sexualised way.
  • Off-platform solicitation. Using Zoe Community to make contact with a child in order to continue any of the above elsewhere.

"Child" and "minor" mean a person under the age of 18, consistent with Ghana's Children's Act, 1998 (Act 560).

Who Can Use Zoe Community

Zoe Community is intended for churchgoers and church communities and is not directed at children under 18. A person under 18 may use the App only with the consent and involvement of a parent or guardian, where local law permits. Nobody else — including church leadership — can give that consent on a child's behalf. This mirrors the eligibility rules in our Terms of Service.

Zoe Community is not an anonymous or random chat service. Every account is tied to a verified sign-in with Google, Apple, or GitHub, and communities may require an administrator to approve each member before they can take part.

Reporting a Child Safety Concern

Every member can report a child safety concern from inside the App, without leaving it:

  • Open the ⋯ menu on any post, comment, profile, channel message, or direct message and choose Report. Pick the reason that fits and add any context you can.
  • Or open Help & feedback in your profile and contact us directly.

You can also email our child safety point of contact at support@qcodelabs.com at any time.

Reports that concern child safety go to the Quabynah Codelabs LLC platform team. They are not routed to the leadership of the community the content came from.

If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first. In Ghana, the Ghana Police Service Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit and the Department of Social Welfare take reports of abuse directly.

Preventing Harm

Alongside reporting, the App gives every member tools to control who can reach them:

  • Block a member to make each of you invisible to the other — follows drop in both directions, and neither of you appears in the other's feed, profile, or search.
  • Mute a member to remove their posts from your feed without telling them.
  • Communities that require approval to join admit new members only after an administrator reviews the request.

Community leadership reviews reports about their own community's content and conduct. Child safety reports sit above that layer and are reviewed by us.

How We Respond

When we obtain actual knowledge of CSAM or CSAE on Zoe Community, we:

  1. Remove the content from the App.
  2. Disable the accounts involved, and remove them from every community they belong to.
  3. Preserve the evidence required by law, separately from the member-facing App and outside our normal deletion schedules, for as long as the law requires.
  4. Report to the appropriate authorities, as set out below.
  5. Cooperate with lawful requests from law enforcement and child protection agencies.

Removal of CSAM is not appealable. A member who believes their account was disabled in error — for example, because the account was misidentified — may write to the contact address above.

Reporting to Authorities

Quabynah Codelabs LLC is a United States limited liability company serving members in Ghana and in the diaspora. On obtaining actual knowledge of apparent child sexual abuse material, we report to:

  • the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) through its CyberTipline, as required of electronic service providers by 18 U.S.C. § 2258A, and preserve the associated material for the period that statute requires; and
  • the Ghana Police Service and, where the Electronic Communications Cybersecurity Act, 2020 (Act 1038) applies, the Cyber Security Authority and the national CERT, including take-down and preservation directives issued under that Act.

These are parallel obligations, not alternatives. We also act on orders and directives from any other authority with jurisdiction over a member or a community.

Child Safety Point of Contact

Questions about these standards, or about a specific child safety matter, should go to:

Quabynah Codelabs LLC — Child Safety support@qcodelabs.com

The address is monitored, and the person who answers it can speak to our CSAM prevention practices and our compliance with this policy.

Updates to These Standards

We review these standards at least once a year and whenever the App gains a feature that changes how members reach one another. The version and date at the top of this page tell you which revision you are reading. Material changes are announced in the App.
